Friend, last week was Equal Pay Day – the day that marks how long into the next year women must work to earn what men did the prior year.

Yup. In order to earn what the average man earned in 2021, women needed to work until March 15, 2022. And that time into the next year is even longer for Black, Native American and Latina women. It's long past time women earn equal pay for equal work!

The good news is that the Biden-Harris administration is on it. President Biden just signed an executive order encouraging federal employers to close this gap.

The bad news, as usual, is the GOP. Just last year, Republican senators blocked a bill aimed at reducing the wage gap. We're up against a HUGE obstructionist agenda, Friend, so fighting back and ensuring EVERYONE gets equal pay for equal work is going to take all of us.
