Hey there,
This week Black women continue to make history!
Starting Monday, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee for her confirmation hearings, during which she will publicly testify as to her qualifications to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Now, we all know how qualified Judge Jackson is:
* Graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University for college and law school (and was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review!)
* Clerked for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer
* Served as a judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
* Served as circuit judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia
* And no matter what far-right Republicans say, her experience as a public defender is a qualification
I will personally be in the room as the confirmation hearings take place and would love to bring all the positive vibes from all my supporters. Friends, this week, as we move forward on this historic nomination, please show your support for Judge Jackson by adding your name to our congratulatory card. This Woman’s History Month, let’s continue making history! [[link removed]]
