I have been thinking a lot about what our country stands for. I’m the son of an immigrant whose family came to the United States from Germany in the 1930s. To me, America is a beacon of liberty, equal justice, and democracy. But all of that has been under threat, as I experienced firsthand on January 6th, 2021.

That makes it so important, now more than ever, that we elect people who are truly committed to liberty, equal justice, and democracy — and that's why I'm endorsing Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver.

Maggie is one of the most experienced election administrators in the country. She has a record of defending and expanding voting rights. And she has made sure that voting rights and democracy in our state are protected, even while those same values are under threat elsewhere across the country. It is critical we support Maggie in her run for another four years.
