It's no secret that I can't self-fund my campaign.

I haven't raised the most money from high-dollar donors.

We will be outspent in this race.

Jerry Brown was outspent in his race for Governor against Meg Whitman. She spent $178.5 million to his $40.5 million. He won by 12.9%.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took on an incumbent and was outspent 18-1. She won by 13.4%.

Tom Steyer has now spent more than $55 million, accounting for 2/3rds of all ad spending by 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates.

This campaign can be about a wealthy candidate buying his seat like we've seen too many times before. Or, we can finally show that the people, not money, will choose who wins.
