Dear John:

Spring is here and we have plenty of ways to stay connected this week, especially as today marks the opening of the days-long Senate Judiciary Committee historic hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Biden’s nominee to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. This and more in this week's PFLAG Connects!

Watch and Share Taking the Long Road Home

Last week our new film, Taking the Long Road Home, premiered and is now available for viewing. PFLAG National is proud to uplift the work of filmmaker Qiydaar Foster as he shares his deeply personal story at the intersections of identity, family, and faith. The film was produced by Nick Oceano and Niketta Scott, and edited by Jake Korupp

This is what one viewer of the film had to say: Thank you so much for this incredibly beautiful and well-done documentary. As a mom struggling with her place in the church and how they will accept her children this struck so close to home. Many tears were shed. Thank you.

You can watch the film here along with additional resources (and more to come!). If the film resonated with you we would love if you helped spread the word by sharing this Facebook post or retweeting this tweet.

Advocacy

Tell your Senators to prepare to vote “Yes” for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to make history as a Supreme Court Justice

Today marks the opening of the days-long Senate Judiciary Committee historic hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Biden’s nominee to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. Judge Jackson’s nomination is historic as would be her confirmation. She is well-suited for this consideration and would be the first Black female Supreme Court Justice and the first Justice to have worked as a public defender. Watch the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing happening today.  Show your support using the hashtag #ConfirmJackson on social media.

Please contact your Senators and tell them to vote “Yes” to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to be our next Supreme Court Justice.
