Why are The 147 continuing to undermine President Biden’s efforts to bring the Ukraine war to a swift end?

With Russia struggling to make interest payments, the financial strain of Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine is starting to show. In order to ramp up the pressure, a trade ban with Russia and Belarus was introduced in Congress this week. It passed with overwhelming support, but unsurprisingly Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, and five other members of The 147 voted against it.

These votes come after weeks of The 147 attempting to justify Russia’s invasion in the press by parroting attacks on Zelenskyy’s character and amplifying Putin’s big chemical weapons lie. Opposing the President’s foreign policy is one thing. Aiding and abetting a blood-thirsty autocrat by pushing his agenda on our shores is another.
