Watch our mini documentary to learn the story of our evolution.

This month we invite you to be a part of this new era for our organization. Our invitation is in the name, explains Emily May, our Co-founder and Executive Director, “Right To Be has a giant space at the end of it, that all of us can crowd into and feel a sense of belonging. We need every single person on board with us because this seismic level of change doesn't happen because a couple people are down for it. It happens because we're all down for it.”

We want to share our story with you, in our own words. Watch the documentary now.

Major Donor Honors High School Student Tiffany Deng

Major Donor Grace Kang honored Tiffany Deng in her donation to Right To Be (formerly Hollaback!).

Tiffany Deng is a teen artist of the widely used Hate Is A Virus during the #stopaapihate rallies in 2021! Tiffany painted this painting which was used across the country for #stopasianhate rallies in the US and around the world.

When announcing her painting to the world she stated, "hate is a virus. To be honest, this is the most personal piece I've ever done, and I've hesitated to post it. However, in light of recent events, I do feel it is my duty to speak up. As an Asian-American, it breaks my heart to see the amount of vicious anti-Asian hate crimes continue to rise across the country, and the lack of news coverage on the topic. Everyone has a right to feel safe, and we need to do better."

As Tiffany prepares to look forward to College let us all honor her for putting herself out there and joining the movement of Right To Be.

This month our Emily May spoke with Alia E. Dastagir from USA Today on the threat of harassment and gender-based violence in new tech spaces like the metaverse. This story contains descriptions of this issue, so please read at your own discretion.
