We are facing extreme attacks on abortion access in the United States and our ability to respond in this moment is critical.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Team—

Last month, the U.S. Senate voted on the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA), federal legislation which would guarantee the right to access abortion for everyone, everywhere, free from medically unnecessary restrictions. Although WHPA did not receive enough votes to get past the Senate filibuster, we are heartened by the progress we have made and will continue to lead the fight.

The outcome of this vote does not reflect the will of the American people. In fact, polls have consistently shown that three quarters of Americans believe that decisions regarding abortion should be left to patients and their providers. We will keep up the pressure to make sure WHPA becomes law, but we can't do it alone. So, I have just one question for you: Are you with us?

Make a gift before March 31 to help us continue to protect reproductive rights for all. We're not giving up—and I hope you aren't either.

The stakes couldn't be higher. In the coming months, the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule in our case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, concerning Mississippi's abortion ban that poses a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.

Anti-abortion activists are accelerating their efforts to restrict abortion access in states across the country in the hopes that Roe will fall. More than 20 states have introduced new bans on abortion since January—all in the hopes that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe and allow abortion bans to go into effect.

We are facing extreme attacks on abortion access in the United States and our ability to respond in this moment is critical. The first quarter of 2022 is coming to a close and we already know this year is sure to be challenging. Please make a gift of $35 or more by March 31 to help build our movement and defend abortion access for all.

Sincerely,

Jackie Blank
Senior Federal Legislative Strategist
Women's Health Protection Act Campaign Manager
