John,

Climate change is here, and without rapid action Chicago will continue to experience more extreme heat, heavier, more damaging rainstorms, growing flood risks, and more. That's why Mayor Lori Lightfoot is meeting this moment with environmental experts and city leaders to propose big solutions and make historic investments.

The Mayor’s budget for this year alone contains $188 million for climate and environmental justice initiatives -- the largest environmental investment in the city’s history. It includes funding for clean energy transit, pollution reduction, and initiatives that prioritize front-line communities.

Chicago is a leader in green initiatives locally and globally.

Now, under Mayor Lightfoot's leadership, we are ready to strengthen partnerships and programs across the city to expand access to green space, reduce carbon emissions, and connect residents to meaningful resources and services.

With our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline around the corner, will you support Mayor Lightfoot's fight for a greener and more sustainable Chicago by chipping in?

Thank you for all that you do,

— Team Lightfoot
