Family has always been one of the most important things in my life. My children were the main inspiration for starting my career in public service on the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board.

Through this role, I witnessed the need for ALL children to have a champion looking out for them and their future. Throughout the years, my roles have changed but my conviction to uplift our community and ensure a brighter future for our children remains the same.

I believe firmly that equitable, quality education is one of the most invaluable resources we can give our children to set them up for success in life. However, for too many in our community, there are barriers to accessing a quality education. Our communities suffer from a lack of investment in public education and the rising costs of higher education.

If elected to Congress, it will be my top priority to improve resources for public schools and make public colleges and universities debt-free. But first, I need your help getting there.
