Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act – also known as the Don’t Say Gay bill – is dangerously close to becoming law:

If Governor DeSantis signs the bill into law, public schools would face extreme restrictions on the discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in classrooms – thanks to the decision of far-right Republican politicians.

The Don’t Say Gay bill would not just affect Floridians – it could become a model for other states to prop up homophobia and transphobia in their public schools, too.

 

For the safety of our students and the good of our public schools, this bill cannot be signed into law. Our only chance is commanding Governor DeSantis to join the right side of history by vetoing this oppressive bill.
