Today marks the start of confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who President Biden recently nominated to serve as our next Supreme Court Justice.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again today, folks: Judge Jackson deserves a fair shake.

I’m looking forward to hearing from Judge Jackson in this week’s hearings, and ensuring she will respect the rule of law. I’m encouraging all of my colleagues to follow suit.

Our Supreme Court is a critical pillar of our democracy, and our justices must serve impartially and defend Americans’ constitutional rights. Judge Jackson deserves the opportunity to present her record and make the case for her nomination in a fair process.
