Friend,
We want to take a minute to look back on everything we've accomplished in 2019 (so far!) with your help.
Here's the truth: We've made tremendous progress this year, not just toward fair maps, but toward building the kind of society we want to live in. As President Obama wrote after Election Day:
"Proud of all the Americans who showed up to vote yesterday, electing a set of hopeful, forward-thinking leaders primed to protect Medicaid, draw fair voting maps, and reduce gun violence."

In Virginia, we helped elect a Democratic-majority legislature that will demand fair maps in 2021 -- and that will finally make progress on gun violence after years of Republican inaction.
In Kentucky, we helped elect a Democratic governor who will veto manipulated maps -- and who will stop his state's attacks on the Affordable Care Act and restore the voting rights of more than 100,000 Kentuckians
In Louisiana, we helped reelect a Democratic governor who expanded Medicaid, providing health coverage for 450,000 people.

That's not to say we won every race. The fair-map candidate we backed for the Wisconsin Supreme Court lost.
This work isn't easy, and we're far from finished In 2020 we're planning to target nine states with races that will make the difference between a decade of fairness and a decade of map manipulation.
Friend, we couldn't have gotten to this point without you. But the next year will be our most important yet. Will you pitch in to help us make concrete progress toward fair maps and good policies?
