Jack, did you know that *most* women wait to run for office until their kids are grown?

Women with children can run for office just like men do. And it’s time we stop letting the patriarchy push a narrative that women with school-age children should not hold public office, because that’s *so* silly!

If my husband were to run for office with our seven kids, people would be like, “Rock on. Congrats!” (And they should! Kev is great.) But when people find out that I’m running for Arkansas Lieutenant Governor with my crew, I often hear, “Oh my gosh, don't you have enough on your plate?”

On this campaign, we have a chance to not only elect a Democrat in Arkansas (and we can) but also prove that women can and should run for office no matter what stage of their life they are in.

I gained unique insight into how many of the systems impacting Arkansans work, and where things could improve while operating within the child welfare system as both a foster mom and when we adopted some of our boys.
