Who doesn’t love the Postal Service, folks? Aside from Donald Trump’s handpicked Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, I mean.

The Senate just passed a massive, bipartisan Post Office reform bill that is going to strengthen this beloved American institution for decades. The House passed it too. It’s on President Biden’s desk right now.

Mail delivery is guaranteed six days per week. No cuts to mail on Saturdays. No more pre-funding retirement benefits, a Bush-era requirement unique to the USPS among all federal agencies that critics cynically held up to say the Post Office was losing money and on the verge of bankruptcy.

DeJoy, a Trump appointee who left his job as finance chair of the RNC to run the Post Office and is under FBI investigation for allegedly breaking campaign finance law to funnel donations to Republicans, not to mention multiple other ethics investigations, attempted the largest rollback of consumer mail services in the Post Office’s history. We rejected that.

Now there is just one step remaining: President Biden signing our bill into law.

Please add your name to my petition urging President Biden to sign the Senate’s Post Office reform bill into law and put a stop to Trump-appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s sabotage of this beloved American institution once and for all.

I’m not finished fighting for a Postal Service that serves all Americans. We’ve got to electrify the fleet of mail trucks nationwide, confirm President Biden’s nominations to the USPS Board of Governors, and finally remove DeJoy.

This won’t be the last you hear on this issue. But together we’ve taken a major step forward. Thanks for everything you’ve done to help us get to this point.

With love and gratitude,

Cory
