Happy Norooz! Today, we celebrate the beginning of spring and the beginning of the Iranian New Year. For many, Norooz is a time of bringing people together and honoring the human connections that make our community strong. Norooz is about renewal and that is exactly what this campaign is setting out to do: repair the old and outdated.

From a young age, this time of year has been about being with family and celebrating with friends. This year, we get to do that with my son for the first time. It means so much to raise him in honor of these same traditions I grew up with. Take a look:

And as we ring in the year, I can't help but reflect on the year behind and dream of the year ahead. We started this campaign with nothing more than a desire to bring structural progressive change to this district. Nearly a year later, we've made huge strides to reach voters and bring a win for progress in CA-32.

We've got a long way to go, but I couldn't be more grateful to the community we've reached and built through this grassroots campaign. Thank you, John.
