John —

In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a split contribution to my re-election campaign before midnight tonight. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Our race is going to be one of the most competitive and expensive races in the country.

Every day some new super PAC or dark money group is spending to beat us. They spend it on television, they spend it online, they spend it on false attacks — anything and everything they can to turn this election.

And the truth is, our ability to defend this seat means we have to meet every single goal we set for ourselves. Because every time we fall behind in our fundraising, it could mean us falling behind in the polls — and make it harder and harder to catch up.

That’s why this mid-month fundraising drive is so important. Because things are heating up in our race, and we’re slipping a little bit on our fundraising. The timing is not great, and I need your help:

Can you please split a contribution between my campaign and Seth Moulton before our mid-month fundraising drive comes to a close at midnight tonight? We would not be asking if it were not so important.

Thank you in advance for contributing to help us catch up. It means a lot.

Mark Kelly
