John —
On this day nineteen years ago, the war in Iraq began. And although the last U.S. combat troops came home at the end of last year, our obligations to the brave Americans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan will last a lifetime.
As a Veteran, I know what it’s like to serve our country, come back home, and try to get back up on your feet.
Far too many of our service members are slipping through the cracks when they return home. We must do more to care for our veterans, who have already sacrificed so much.
Unfortunately, Jim Jordan has voted against veterans' care time and time again.
Earlier this year, he voted no on a bill that would automatically enroll veterans in the VA, slicing through the bureaucratic red tape that often keeps vets without care for months or even years.
And just this month, when House Democrats passed a bill to protect veterans who have been exposed to toxic burn pits in combat zones, Jim Jordan once again voted no.
Jordan's long record of voting against veterans is appalling. It's clear that once our troops are back home, the GOP doesn't feel it's part of their responsibility to provide a safety net.
That's just unpatriotic and shameful. Our service members deserve better.
John, I'm running for Congress to be a champion for our vets in Washington. Will you chip in to help me get there? [[link removed]]
