John, one of President Biden's nominees for the Federal Reserve withdrew this week after intense opposition from corporate interests.

Their objection? She argued that regulators need to take into account the financial burdens caused by climate change when they set policy.

The fossil fuel industry and their allies on Capitol Hill are determined to stop federal action on climate change wherever they can – including among executive branch nominees. Time is running out for us to act in the face of these obstacles.

The Senate must move as soon as possible and pass legislation that invests in clean and renewable energy and reduces the impact of climate change. I've proudly voted to pass this bill out of the House – there's no excuse for the Senate to keep dragging its feet.

Please add your name today and tell the Senate to pass environmental legislation. I refuse to let the special interests continue to block our progress, and I urge you to stand with me.
