Our FEC deadline is quickly approaching, team.

I know you probably get a lot of emails discussing "goals" and "deadlines," but these benchmarks are critical to ensuring that our fundraising is on track to keep our campaign running. And March 31 public reporting deadline is the most important to date. Here's why:

* This will be the first opportunity since two extreme Republicans jumped into the race to see what my opponents are raising. So it's especially important for my campaign to report strong fundraising numbers.

* I won my last race by a narrow 1,017 votes in the closest race in the country -- and recent reporting has labeled this seat a toss up. With the Senate split 50-50, losing even one seat means ceding control to Republicans.

* Mitch McConnell and his dark money allies have spent over $7.5 million attacking my record, and we need the resources to set the record straight.

In a swing state like New Hampshire, my team's ability to defend this seat depends on meeting every single goal we set. Because falling behind could mean the difference between a red and blue Senate.

That's why it's so important that we meet our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. I'm reaching out to ask if you can chip in $5 or whatever you can before it's too late. I wouldn't ask unless it was necessary.

Thank you in advance!

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
