Trump-appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is at it again. Last month, he went against President Biden’s plan to electrify the federal vehicle fleet by signing a contract to buy 150,000 gasoline-powered mail trucks over the next decade.

We’ve got to do everything we can to stop the climate crisis. I know firsthand how important environmentally-conscious policies are to the economy and communities in New Mexico – that’s why I championed the Clean Energy Standard Act and cosponsored legislation like the Green New Deal.

Locking one of the largest federal vehicle fleets into using fossil fuels for the next decade undermines our climate goals, and it’s the wrong thing to do.

The impact of Louis DeJoy’s decision is too large to ignore. Join me in demanding that Postmaster General DeJoy and the USPS immediately reverse course and purchase electric vehicles instead. [[link removed]]
