John,
With the 2022 State Convention only a few short months away, we want to remind you that
there’s still time to get involved and become a delegate to the state convention! |
Delegates are grassroots Republicans who participate in the shaping of the Republican Party, its role, and its direction regarding public
policy. County/Senate District Conventions will be held on March 26, 2022. Your county party sets the location and time. To find your 2022 County/SD Convention time and location, please click here or check with your county party. If you missed your precinct convention and aren’t a delegate to your Senate/County Convention, this
is your last opportunity to become a delegate to the State Convention. You do not have to be present at the Senate or County convention in
order for the delegates to elect you to the State Convention, however, your presence may increase the likelihood of being elected a delegate or
alternate. |
A County Convention is held when the county is completely within one State Senate district. A Senate District (SD)
Convention is held when the county is divided between two or more State Senate districts. Guests are usually allowed, but only those individuals who
were elected by their precinct can serve as delegates and alternates at the county or senate district convention. Delegates to the county or senate
district convention will help elect permanent convention officers, elect delegates and alternates to the state convention, and consider and vote on
resolutions. Thank you for taking the time to get involved at a
grassroots level! Your support and activism will help us keep Texas red and grow our Republican Party.
