Hey folks, I spent the last 15 minutes drinking some coffee and reading my book before beginning a day of work.

Since it’s National Reading Month this month, I’ve been making it a priority to read for at least 15 minutes a day. When you’re running for Congress against an opponent where polling shows you neck-and-neck, sometimes 15 minutes is all you can find in your schedule.

The truth is, I’ve been so busy traveling across the district every second that I’m in Michigan – launching our 15 Towns Listening tour, riding the SMART bus around the district, visiting small businesses, and more. It’s my favorite part of campaigning, but this type of organizing effort is also very costly.

With polling showing me virtually tied with my opponent for this seat, I’m relying on support from grassroots donors to keep me out on the road meeting voters where they are.

Time is ticking before our FEC report goes public at the end of this month, and with all that’s at stake in this race, I need everyone to step up where they can. Will you make a grassroots donation of $5 or more to help me make history and win a third term to represent MI-11?

I’m grateful for your support – as always.
