Dear People For supporter,
Anti-voter bills are on the move in states across the nation, including Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, and many more. With protections for the freedom to vote stalled by Far Right obstruction at the federal level, it’s time for state legislators to step up and stop the state-level attacks on voting rights that have been so widespread since the 2020 election.
We're calling on these state leaders to stop creating obstacles and start protecting our essential freedom to vote, AND to end unfair practices like gerrymandering that silence entire communities in order to lock in permanent partisan advantages.
In the wake of their 2020 election losses, Far Right lawmakers across the country have worked to restrict voter access and enable corrupt politicians to dismantle election results they simply don’t like. The fact is, we can only be sure of the integrity of our democracy when we remove unnecessary barriers to voting.
Voting access is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy. As a nation, we take pride in “one person, one vote.” Our voting laws should reflect this principle by providing secure and efficient options for voters and equitable access to the polls. We need state legislators to honor that fundamental tenet of our American democracy and protect the vote NOW.
