Last week Chairman Banks proposed legislation to prevent America from replacing Russian oil products with oil products from Iran or other state sponsors of terrorism. The “No Oil From Terrorists Act” is meant to encourage the U.S. to look to increase domestic production to meet oil supply needs as the Russia-Ukraine war continues. The last thing America needs is a rushed new Iran Nuclear Deal while Putin is waging a war of aggression.


The Republican Study Committee sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen calling for her to investigate suspicious funding of USA-based climate change advocacy groups accused of being conduits for hidden donations from Russian oil and gas oligarchs who are seeking to reduce U.S. oil and gas production.


Over 50 House Republicans signed onto Chairman Banks’ resolution vowing to reverse any new Nuclear Deal with Iran. The last thing the U.S. and our allies need is another rushed Iran Nuclear Deal to deal with a temporary oil supply crisis.


Biden’s Border Surge is growing worse as officials warn of a potential mass immigration event created by human trafficking groups in Mexico and South America looking to take advantage of recently-ended COVID-19 polices that allowed for instant expulsions on the border.

NO OIL FROM TERRORISTS ACT

Last Tuesday, the Republican Study Committee unveiled legislation to prevent the U.S. Government from replacing Russian oil products with oil products from Iran and other state sponsors of terrorism.


The legislation is aptly named the ”No Oil From Terrorists Act” and is meant to encourage the Biden Administration to increase U.S. domestic oil and gas production instead of relying on foreign oil products to combat rising oil prices as Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine.


We believe the Biden Administration should focus on lifting executive orders that canceled the Keystone Pipeline and froze new oil and gas leases on federal lands instead of negotiating a new Iran Nuclear Deal during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

REPUBLICANS VOW ANY BIDEN NUCLEAR DEAL WITH IRAN WILL BE REVERSED

Over 50 House Republicans are backing a bill led by Jim Banks to oppose any new nuclear deal with Iran amid the Russian-Ukrainian War and on the heels of an Iranian missile attack near a U.S. consulate.


Chairman Banks issued this statement about the bill:

"A renewed JCPOA would increase the risk of a nuclear Iran, enrich terrorists and destabilize the entire region. All that aside, the process in Vienna would be a deal-breaker for any normal administration," Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman Jim Banks, R-Ind., who is leading the resolution, said.


"Just days ago, Iranian terrorists threatened to kill American citizens on U.S. soil and the Iranian government openly took credit for a missile attack near the US consulate in Iraq," Banks added. "Let’s be clear: Joe Biden isn’t just negotiating with terrorists, he’s sending terrorists billions in sanctions relief."

RSC LETTER: Investigate potential Russian financing of USA groups

Last week, Chairman Banks sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen calling for her to lead an investigation into whether Russia is secretly funding radical climate change groups that advocate against U.S. domestic oil and gas production.


An excerpt of the letter is here:

“As the free world descends into yet another global conflict, it is imperative that the United States remain free from foreign manipulation.


The Russian government has sought to expand its political and cultural influence in Europe. To that end, they have gone to great lengths to increase Europre’s reliance on Russian oil and gas.



In 2014, NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated:


“I have met allies who can report that Russia, as post of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations, environmental organizations working against shale gas, to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas”


Dependence on Russian gas has made it harder for European countries to counter Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But it’s not just Europe. In 2021, the US purchased a record amount of Russian oil, and Russia had directed its influence effort at Americans too."

BIDEN’S BORDER SURGE


Biden Administration officials are warning that the Biden Border Crisis could get even worse if policies that allow for instant expulsions are ended.


If these policies are reversed, an influx of as many as 170,000 immigrants could further stress the southern border.


Most concerning are the reports that human trafficking organizations throughout Mexico and Central America may take advantage of the situation to generate a mass migration event.
