It's one of our favorite holidays here at Oxfam, and potty humor aside, we have a serious mission: providing clean toilets for the 4.2 billion people around the world who lack access to one.

Friend, that's more than half the global population. Living in a world without clean and safe toilets puts people at risk of disease, pollutes the environment, and discourages girls from attending school.

That's why we're using today, World Toilet Day, to raise awareness about the importance of toilet access - and just how few people have it. Our goal: 600 gifted toilets by the end of the day. Will you help?
