We’re writing with an important request: please let the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) know know that you oppose NW Natural’s efforts to increase gas customer rates by $81 million – or an average 11.8 percent bill increase for residential customers. Cost of living is rising and wages are stagnant. An increase to heating bills will put more pressure on families who are already struggling.

NW Natural is justifying this request to pay to expand fossil fuel infrastructure, an increase in executive salaries, and an increase in its investor profits. This increase would be harmful in the best of times, but is particularly outrageous in a global pandemic, and as our communities already are experiencing first hand the impacts of the climate crisis. The Commission needs to hear from all of us. Email them today!
