Dear Colorado Republicans,

This week, we've hit Jena Griswold on trying to take away our First Amendment right to free speech through Section 8 of SB22-153. We'll never give up our rights, no matter what the Democrats in charge try to do.

Our Republicans in the state legislature are sponsoring a resolution to "urge Governor Polis and Democrats...to unleash the potential of Colorado energy producers." ([link removed]) We will be watching to see if Democrats stand with American oil and gas or prefer to back Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.

Jared Polis is also refusing to support a suspension of the state gas tax, even while Colorado's working families pay record amounts at the pump every day. Jared Polis may be able to afford the 40-year high inflation, but the rest of Colorado cannot. It's time to end the one-party, Democrat control of our state.

I look forward to seeing many of you at county assemblies this weekend! I'll be in Jefferson, Douglas, Arapahoe, Phillips, Sedgwick, and Yuma counties.

Keep up the great work!

Colorado Politics ([link removed]) : State House and Senate Republicans on Wednesday called on the General Assembly, governor and the Biden administration to support oil and gas production as a way of dealing with high gas prices.

That ask will come in the form of a joint resolution they intend to introduce this week. The joint resolution asks state regulatory agencies such as the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to issue permits to increase Colorado oil and gas production for use at home and abroad.

Buck: Biden and Democrats must stop hindering US energy independence

Washington Examiner ([link removed]) : Under Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, who signed into law a slew of job-killing regulations in 2019, oil production has dropped 30%.

We can and should be better than this. Developing our natural resources closer to home is good for jobs, good for our economy, good for national security, and even good for the environment.

With the environmental regulations and protections in place in Colorado and across much of the country, and given technological enhancements and developments in the industry, the men and women who work in American oil and gas are producing much cleaner energy than anything coming out of Saudi Arabia or Russia.

Now is the time to remember the lessons of our past, to embrace the technology and science that is leading to cleaner oil and gas development, to produce more of our resources here at home, to benefit American consumers, and to make the world safer.
