My fellow Republicans,


Now is the perfect time to talk to voters about the “non-partisan” May 7 election, as well as our May 24 runoff election. We’ll continue rolling out the Sidekick phone app to Precinct Chairs and other volunteers next week, as soon as the voting history from the

March 1 election is available from GOP Data Center.

 

Some of you may choose to support one or more of the bond measures on the May 7 ballot. That’s your choice. I believe, however, that many people vote for the bonds without realizing that the resulting property tax increase affects not only every property owner, but renters as well, and raises the cost of doing business in Bexar County. I told KENS5 that this is a bad time to raise taxes and go further into debt when interest rates are clearly rising to battle inflation caused by the Biden White House. We will host training on this issue on Wednesday – see below.
