Just when we thought Andy Harris couldn’t sink further into the political gutter.
According to The Hill [[link removed]] , Harris was one of “more than a dozen House Republicans on Wednesday [who] voted against legislation to promote public education about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.”
When pressed to justify his vote, he said “the House should be prioritizing other legislation.”
Where does it end with this man?
Andy Harris voted AGAINST [[link removed]] awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the law enforcement officers who bravely protected the United States Capitol from a murderous mob on January 6.
That’s right. Andy Harris had a choice between police officers and lawless criminals, and he sided with the criminals.
Andy Harris voted AGAINST [[link removed]] providing life-saving health care benefits for 9/11 first responders who risked their lives to save others on the deadliest day in American history. Andy Harris had a choice between supporting our first responders and abandoning them. He chose to abandon them.
Now, he joins with other far-right extremists to suppress the truth about one of the darkest chapters in American history.
It’s a pattern with Andy Harris. When forced to choose between honor and hate, he always – ALWAYS – chooses the side of hate.
This isn’t the First District. Whatever this man is or whatever he has become, Andy Harris does not speak for our families and communities.
