March is Women’s History Month, and while it is important to acknowledge
and celebrate the accomplishments of women everywhere, it is meaningless
if we are not doing everything we can to ensure equal pay for all women.
Ro has been a vocal supporter of the Payness Fairness Act, because women

According to Payscale’s 2022 State of the Gender Pay Gap, the gap has
stayed unchanged at 82 cents per dollar over the past two years. And that
disparity is even worse for women of color — for example, Hispanic women
earn 57 cents for every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men in 2020.

Per every white man's dollar, Black women make 64 cents, multiracial Black
women make 63 cents, Asian women make $1.01, Multiracial asian women make
98 cents, and hispanic women of any race make 57 cents

Let us be clear — all Americans deserve the chance to build wealth, earn
equal pay for equal work, and not have to experience the racial, ethnic or
gender biases that threaten their economic security.
