John,

As expected, March has been incredibly busy. Already, Kara has hit the campaign trail in St. James, Brentwood, Plainview, Greenport, Hauppauge, Dix Hills, and we're just getting started!

Since you're such a key part of this team, I've gathered a few highlights below to share with you.

Office Opening

Despite the rainy weather, we had an incredible turnout for our office opening and petitioning kick-off earlier this month!

We couldn't have done this without your support. Opening our office headquarters, starting conversations with our neighbors, and building out our ground team, was all made possible by grassroots supporters.

Getting Kara on the Ballot

We're keeping a strong pace with signatures, but we'll need to pick it up to have a strong showing by the filing deadline. That's why we're so grateful for our volunteers and the inspiration and commitment they bring every day to our community.

Do you live in the District or nearby and want to get involved? You can sign up to volunteer here >>

Standing with Ukraine

Kara stood with the North Country Peace Group to rally for peace in Ukraine. As we continue to witness the devastating scenes from the war in Ukraine, it's critical we use our voices to stand up for Democracy at home and abroad.

What We're Hearing in the District

As part of our outreach, we're having a lot of conversations with our neighbors. We're hearing them express their thoughts over the higher prices at the pump and the grocery store, as well as their ongoing concerns about Covid.

John, these conversations with our neighbors are an important reminder of how important it is that we flip this seat blue and send someone to Washington who is willing to actually address these issues. Just this month, Kara stood with Senator Gillibrand to talk about bringing more manufacturing jobs to Long Island, securing our supply chains, and keeping costs low:

As you can see, Kara's hard at work each and every day to make sure we're running a strong campaign to flip this seat and secure real progress for Long Islanders. And when we give her a 15-minute break? We find her picking up litter to leave the space outside our office a bit cleaner. Seriously, she's nonstop!

Now's the part of the email where I ask for your help to send Kara to Congress. We've got an end-of-quarter FEC report coming up, and a contribution of any size right now would go a long way toward reaching our goal and demonstrating the strength of our campaign. I hope I can count on your support today.

Thanks again!
