Friend —

Anyone who believes that climate change is not already here isn’t paying attention. We don't have to look far to see the evidence all around us.

It's long past time to face the truth that failure to take real action now will result in enormous harm to communities here in Maryland and worldwide. And the poorest and most vulnerable, as always, will suffer the most and be the least able to adjust. We must all be in this struggle together.

Taking bolder, stronger action to tackle the climate crisis is not rocket science — and it’s not that hard.

By investing in clean energy, moving away from our dependence on big oil, and creating millions of home-grown, good-paying clean energy jobs we can change the trajectory of this threat to our livable planet. Sounds like a no-brainer, but the truth is that Republicans are opposing us every step of the way.

Any chance at making progress on climate action is at stake in this year's midterms, and I need your support to continue the fight for a clean energy future. That's why I have to ask:

Can you chip in $3 today to help me continue leading the charge for climate action and green jobs in the United States Senate? The time for us to take bold action is now, so we don't have a moment to waste. [[link removed]]

CONTRIBUTE $3 [[link removed]]Putin’s horrific war in Ukraine has highlighted the other negative consequences of our economic vulnerability to the global price of oil which is affected by any disturbance in oil-producing countries anywhere in the world. Let’s be clear: that gives autocrats like Putin power to hurt us.

The time is NOW for a major push for progress toward a clean energy future. We can’t afford to hesitate and we can’t afford to lose the Senate majority.

Thank you for helping seize this moment.

Onwards,

Chris
