We the People DEMAND that the Ohio Legislature IMPEACH Chief Justice Maureen O'Conner NOW!

The manipulation of our election process has gone too far and now the Chief Justice has joined in issuing an unconstitutional order to the Redistricting Commission further politicizing the drawing of the voting districts in Ohio! In her latest rejection of the Ohio Redistricting maps, in which the Redistricting Commission delivered precisely the 54% - 46% split that the court demanded -which is in itself unconstitutional, she made the following order:

“The Commission should retain an "independent map drawer" who answers to all commission members, not only to the Republican legislative leaders to draft a (redistricting) plan through a transparent process.”

What?? The Ohio Constitution makes it crystal clear that the LEGISLATURE is the ONLY body that can draw these maps, set the dates of elections, etc. The Ohio Constitution sure as HELL does NOT allow an “independent map drawer”, some random individual, to draw Ohio’s voting maps! This order is ILLEGAL, politically motivated, by the democrats, and in violation of the rule of law!

The Ohio Constitution also makes clear that the Ohio Supreme Court can NOT draw these redistricting maps! As the Dissenting Justice Opinions make clear, the actions of O’Connor and this Supreme Court violate the rule of law.

The Ohio Legislature must live up to its Constitutional duties RIGHT NOW and remove this obstacle to our ability to hold elections. We are literally looking at the SECOND TIME in two years where OUR PRIMARY ELECTIONS will be delayed because of unconstitutional actions by our elected officials!!!

Stop messing with our elections and OUR RIGHT TO VOTE! Do your damn jobs and FOLLOW the Constitution! If speaker Cupp will not act, because he served with O’Connor on the Court, then he needs to recuse himself and let the process move forward. The Legislature must move IMMEDIATELY to remove Chief Justice O’Connor via the impeachment process! They can not allow this illegal interference in our elections to continue!
