Approaching 80 years on the planet, the President is firmly rooted in the 1960's "back when a smoke was a smoke, and groovin' was groovin'", to quote Mellencamp.So, on St. Patrick's Day, old Joe was spinning some blarney and said "I may be Irish, but I'm not stupid".  He was referring to an Irish aside, not denigrating his ancestry.
