In the last three years, Lt. Governor Gilchrist and I have delivered for the people of Michigan. I have signed over 780 bipartisan bills, and I’m willing to sit down with anyone to solve problems and help people.
That's how we:
- Landed a $7 billion investment, the largest in General Motors’ history to create thousands of jobs;
- Cut taxes for small businesses and provided over $420 million to support and retain jobs;
- Made the largest investment in K-12 education in our state’s history – over $17 billion – without raising taxes, giving students, parents, and educators the resources they need to thrive;
- Secured $400 refund checks for every Michigan driver, putting money back in the pockets of hardworking Michigan families;
- Moved dirt to fix the damn roads, repairing over 13,000 lane miles and more than 900 bridges.
Despite all that we have faced, I know that there is more that unites us than divides us. When we focus on the fundamentals, it is easier to see that we want the same things: good-paying jobs, high-quality education for our kids, resilient infrastructure, safe communities, and thriving small businesses.
