The NHS and social care services are in a state of crisis. When people turn for help, too often it is not there.

The Conservatives promised help for people suffering from mental ill-health. But they have been so distracted by their pursuit of Brexit that they have failed to give mental health services the support they need.

The Liberal Democrats have a bold plan to build a brighter future. We want to transform mental health by treating it with the same urgency as physical health.

That’s why a Liberal Democrat government will invest £11bn in tackling mental health over the next Parliament.
