Jena Griswold Is A Partisan Hack

Greenwood Village, Colorado - Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown released the following statement regarding SB22-153:

As we watch the State Legislature debate SB22-153, one thing is clear: Jena Griswold is a partisan hack who is weaponizing the Secretary of State's office.

Our Republican County Clerks have been working hard to ensure greater election integrity. Even with a Democrat-controlled legislature, they are pushing for 24/7/365 camera coverage, stronger access controls, and ensuring the public trust is preserved.

But Jena has been sure to insert her own partisan power grabs.

The most egregious example is Section 8. This Section clearly violates the First Amendment and Coloradans' right to free speech. Jena Griswold wants to give her office and the state government the right to decide what speech is true and what speech is false. This is 100% unacceptable. Our government should work for everyone, treating all citizens equally. But instead of equality, Jena Griswold wants to weaponize her office.
