Dear John,

OLCV’s endorsements for the primary election are up on our website at olcv.org/2022-primary-endorsements. Find out which district you’re in by clicking here [[link removed]], and get ready to vote in the primary this May!

So far, we’ve made 87 endorsements in races around the state. One of the most exciting? Tina Kotek for Oregon governor. Tina is the former Speaker of the Oregon House and exactly the leader we need to address the climate crisis. She’s a true climate champion who cares deeply about justice and creating a better future for the next generation. Tina has been behind nearly every one of Oregon’s climate victories in the last seven years, and, as governor, she’ll be ready to lead on day one.

Another exciting race is Andrea Salinas for Congressional District 6. As a former board member of OLCV, Andrea is dedicated to protecting our clean air and water, and working toward solutions to the climate crisis. As congresswoman, she’ll continue the work she started as a state representative, fighting for a better future for Oregon’s people and places. Both OLCV and LCV Action Fund are proud to endorse Andrea Salinas for Congress.

For those in Multnomah County, an exciting race is Jessica Vega Pederson for Multnomah County Chair. As a former state representative and member of the county board of commissioners, Jessica has a long history of standing up for clean air and water, working toward reducing carbon emissions, and fighting for environmental justice. If you live in Multnomah County, vote for Jessica this May!

And there are so many more exciting races across the state. In the weeks leading up to the election, we’ll need your help if we’re going to get these pro-environment candidates elected. You can help by signing up to volunteer [[link removed]]. Also, make sure you’re registered to vote [[link removed]].

You can also get involved by attending our upcoming meet the candidates event, where you’ll be able to meet some of our priority candidates in person! Keep an eye out, we’ll be announcing the date soon.

Cheers to election season,
Lindsey Scholten
Deputy Director, OLCV

P.S. - Thank you to all the OLCV volunteer leaders who helped with over 123 candidate interviews so far!
