John: last time around, Iowa's Senate race was one of the most expensive in the country – Republicans spent more than $100 MILLION to keep this state red. Now that Democrat Abby Finkenauer is running to defeat Sen. Grassley, here's where things stand:

27%: That's the (small!) percentage of likely Iowa voters who want to send Sen. Chuck Grassley back to Washington for an EIGHTH term. The vast majority of likely Iowa voters are ready for new leadership – and Sen. Grassley has never been this vulnerable before.

$41 million: That's how much the GOP has sitting in the bank to defeat challengers like Abby and take back the Senate. Their far-right megadonors are bankrolling extremist candidates like never before.

$1,407: That's how close Abby is to hitting her critical goal at 11:59 p.m. tonight. With so much on the line, she cannot miss this goal.

If Abby wins, Democrats will be virtually GUARANTEED to expand our Senate majority – and Iowans are ready to show Sen. Grassley the door. But the GOP has millions at their disposal that they can deploy at any time to attack Abby – and she'll only win with the support of grassroots activists like you.
