Whether it was in Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Baltimore, Berkeley, New York, or even virtually–since 2004, Facing Race has been a home for organizers in the racial justice movement looking for collaboration, networking opportunities, research, best practices, and professional development. This year's conference will be taking place as a hybrid event in Phoenix, AZ and online from November 17-19. The people who attend Facing Race have one thing in common: they are committed to racial justice and equity. And you can help people get there by donating to our Scholarship Fund.
"I do work to end domestic and sexual violence. As you know, sometimes there can be tough days when faced with the reality of the world. This conference helped rejuvenate my hope and beliefs to do the work that I set out to do."

The individuals who attend Facing Race do their work in a variety of ways; some are organizers, academics, students, artists, and they work in for-profit and non-profit sectors, representing organizations of all sizes. They’re our peers in the movement. Facing Race serves people working on the front lines of the fight for a just, multi-racial democracy.
Your generosity provides recipients with a truly transformative 3-day experience, with access to four different workshop tracks: Organizing and Advocacy, Inclusive Democracy, Arts Media & Culture, and Racial Identities and Innovation.
"I am a Black lesbian woman in my 30’s and I was able to witness a young Black woman (who traveled with us) attend a conference that I did not have the opportunity to attend at that age. I enjoyed seeing her have continuous hope while living in a world where our Black brothers and sisters battle daily racism. It was absolutely one of the most meaningful 3 conference days of living."
