As if the Florida GOP hasn't stooped low enough, they are now pushing a bill that attacks vulnerable children.

The Republican-led legislature just passed the "Don't Say Gay" bill, which bans students and teachers from even mentioning LGBTQ+ identities in school.

If this bill is signed into law, teachers could be sued for discussing events that have impacted the LGBTQ+ community like the Pulse shooting. Students won't even be able to talk about their own LGBTQ+ identities.

As a former social worker, a mother and a Floridian, my heart breaks to see leaders in my state propose a bill that would make it even harder for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and accepted at school. It's disgraceful that the GOP is treating these students as pawns in an attempt to politicize their existence.

I'm doing everything in my power to stop this anti-LGBTQ+ bill from becoming law, but time is running out. Please, will you use your voice now to speak out against the "Don't Say Gay" bill before my petition closes at midnight?
