Last month we reached out asking you to sign our petition calling on President Biden and Vice President Harris to cancel all student debt, and our voices were heard. The Biden administration deferred student loan payments till May – but while this is progress, it’s still not enough.
Right now, the Biden administration is considering delaying student loan payments again. We must seize this opportunity to make our voices heard and call on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to cancel ALL student debt. Will you take a moment to add your name to our urgent petition?
John, this is urgent. The student debt crisis in our country has now peaked at $1.7 TRILLION. Two-thirds of the 43 million Americans with student loan debt are women – with Black women holding a disproportionate amount.
We have a real chance at convincing President Biden to pass an executive order for student debt forgiveness, but we must keep the pressure on. It’s time to end this crisis. President Biden needs to cancel ALL student debt: Will you show your support and add your name now?
Right now, women are experiencing the worst effects of the COVID-19 recession. Women, especially women of color, have been impacted the most by wage cuts, layoffs, loss of health insurance due to unemployment, and increasing child care costs.
By canceling all student-debt, the Biden-Harris administration can help women and their families get back on their feet and bring a stop to this growing economic inequality.
It’s up to Women’s Marchers to keep the pressure on President Biden and make it clear that canceling all student debt is a top priority for the women who helped put him in office.
