Dear members and supporters,

The LAUNCH [2] of our Berta Cáceres International Feminist Organizing
School (IFOS) Guidebook last week was a shining moment of inspiration in
these tumultuous times. We are grateful to all who attended and are
supporting this work. Together, we are building a world free of oppression,
grounded in a vision of peace that centers life and sustainability.

Our Guidebook is a labor of love—implemented, practiced, and taught by
grassroots feminist leaders, discussed and studied by School participants,
and nurtured by grassroots struggles around the world. We tell the story of
the development of our Berta Cáceres International Feminist Organizing
School (IFOS), birthed from a dream years ago to its realization today.

You’ll get an inside view of what it takes to organize an international,
multi-language, online school during a global pandemic, be able to explore
aspects of our beautifully illustrated curriculum, and delve into the
liberatory practice of mística.

Our IFOS GUIDEBOOK [1] is AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE [3] in English, French,
Portuguese, and Spanish on our website. A portion of your purchase will
support a print edition and its distribution to IFOS participants in urban
and rural areas, from the Philippines and Palestine to Haiti, Brazil,

The BERTA CÁCERES INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST ORGANIZING SCHOOL [4] is a
collaboration between Grassroots Global Justice Alliance (GGJ), Grassroots
International (GRI), Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN), and World
March of Women (WMW), four alliances deeply committed to feminist
internationalism and a Just Transition to a Feminist Economy.

The COMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZER [5] will lead external communications and
digital organizing for GGJ and GGJ Action Fund. This includes documenting
program activities, training staff and members on messaging, and building a
portfolio of member stories. The position will conceptualize and implement
earned media strategies, build and maintain media relationships, and ensure
a consistent social media presence.

WORLD MARCH OF WOMEN INTERNATIONAL DECLARATION FOR MARCH 8, 2022

_As the U.S. chapter for the World March of Women (WMW), we share these
excerpts of the statement released by WMW on International Women’s Day:_

We are going through days when we feel the devastation caused by the crisis
of capitalism, which has become even more visible in these three years of
pandemic.

While capital is pushing women, working classes, racialized populations,
LGBTQ+ people, and peoples around the world into poverty with its policies
of privatization, dispossession and war, neoliberalism seeks ways out from
its crisis by collaborating with imperialism. Today, the accumulated
contradictions of capitalism have reached the point of being unsustainable.
While rising unemployment, insecurity, financial instability and
concentration of wealth have reached record levels, it is clear that
capitalism needs to increase its exploitation of people and nature in order
to survive. [...]

We see how the reconfiguration of colonialism is reflected in racist
migration policies, the closing of borders, the criminalization of refugees
and the increase in economic, political and financial blockades of peoples
whose governments do not bow to the interests of this predatory system.
Conservatism, fundamentalism and authoritarianism impose a project of death
and criminalize social movements that dare to oppose it, while proposing
false solutions, such as green capitalism. [...]

Our sisters around the world are leading us with their struggles against
this dark picture. The feminist strikes that have left their mark on the
last few years have made it clear that if women stop, the world will stop:
from Egypt to Tunisia, from the United States to Spain. Together, we have
witnessed a similar wave from Turkey to Brazil, and later, from Chile to
Sudan. A feminist revolt has gathered in its saddlebag all the feminisms of
history and is marching towards a new feminism… This is a rebellion that
is as angry as a mother who has lost her child in Mexico, brave enough not
to listen to the bans imposed on any square of the world, and hopeful as if
saying ‘nothing will ever be the same again’.

fue un momento brillante de inspiración en estos tiempos tumultuosos.

Unides, estamos construyendo un mundo libre de opresión, basado en una
visión de paz que centra la vida y la sostenibilidad.

Nuestra Guía es una labor de amor—implementado, practicado y enseñado
por líderes y lideresas feministas populares, discutido y estudiado por
las y les participantes de la escuela, y alimentado por las luchas
populares en todo el mundo. Contamos la historia del desarrollo de nuestra
Escuela Internacional para la Organización Feminista “Berta Cáceres”
(IFOS), nacida hace años de un sueño a su realización hoy.

DECLARACIÓN INTERNACIONAL DE LA MARCHA MUNDIAL DE LAS MUJERES PARA EL 8
DE MARZO, 2022

Estamos pasando por días en los que sentimos la devastación causada por
la crisis del capitalismo, que se ha hecho aún más visible en estos 3
años bajo la pandemia.

Mientras el capital empuja a la pobreza a las mujeres, a las clases
trabajadoras, a las poblaciones racializadas, a las personas LGBTQ+, y a
los pueblos del mundo entero con sus políticas de privatización, despojo
y guerra, el neoliberalismo busca las claves de su crisis en colaboración
con el imperialismo. Hoy, las contradicciones acumuladas del capitalismo
han llegado al punto de ser insostenibles. Mientras que el aumento del
desempleo, la inseguridad, la inestabilidad financiera y la concentración
de la riqueza han alcanzado niveles récord, está claro que el capitalismo
necesita aumentar la explotación de las personas y la naturaleza para
sobrevivir. [...]

Vemos cómo la reconfiguración del colonialismo se refleja en las
políticas migratorias racistas, el cierre de fronteras, la
criminalización de refugiadas/os y el aumento del bloqueo económico,
político y financiero a los pueblos cuyos gobiernos no se pliegan a los
intereses de este sistema depredador. El conservadurismo, los
fundamentalismos y el autoritarismo imponen un proyecto de muerte y
criminalizan a los movimientos sociales que se atreven a oponerse a él,
mientras proponen falsas soluciones, como el capitalismo verde. [...]

Nuestras hermanas de todo el mundo nos guían con sus luchas contra todo
este oscuro panorama. Las huelgas feministas que dejaron su huella en los
últimos años dijeron que si las mujeres se detienen, el mundo se
detendrá. De Egipto a Túnez, de Estados Unidos al Estado español;
juntas, asistimos a una ola similar desde Turquía a Brasil, y un periodo
después desde Chile a Sudán. Una revuelta feminista que recoge en su
alforja todos los feminismos de la historia y se pone en marcha hacia un
nuevo feminismo… Es una rebelión que tiene la rabia de una madre que
perdió a su hijo en México, la valentía de no escuchar las prohibiciones
que se ponen en cualquier plaza del mundo, y la esperanza de decir «nada
volverá a ser igual».
