As a small business owner and single mother, I know the value of hard work, determination and grit. Every day, Upstate New Yorkers fight to provide for their families, and we deserve someone in Washington who fights for us.

But, right now we don’t have that. Our representative, Anthony Brindisi, has turned his back on us, and I’m fighting to put Upstate first again.

I was born and raised in New Hartford. My mom ran the family business and my dad was a judge— all while juggling five kids. From a young age, we learned to look out for one another, stand up for the underdog and stand tall for ourselves. 

Now, I’m looking out for Upstate New York. Upstate is always overshadowed and forgotten about by our elected officials, but that ends with me.

I became a single mom when my son Trey was young. It was hard to help with homework and baseball practice while trying to manage a business and meet payroll every week, but like most Upstate New Yorkers, we made it work. 

Today, Trey serves our country as a Captain in the Marine Corps. I’m so proud of his decision and better understand the cost of keeping our country safe. 

This community has taught him everything he knows about service, and it’s taught me everything that I know about hard work. That’s why I’m fighting so hard to put our community first again.
