Friend, Please join us on Wednesday, March 23, for a virtual event celebrating Women’s History Month presented by the SPLC’s Civil Rights Memorial Center in partnership with Alabama State University. The event will feature a conversation with Dr. Imani Perry, who will share perspectives from her new book South to America: A Journey Below the Mason-Dixon to Understand the Soul of a Nation. Honoring and Celebrating Women Providing Healing and Promoting Hope Dr. Perry will share incredible stories from her book about the South. Her profound insights offer compelling proof that a greater understanding of the South is needed to truly understand our nation as a whole. The national theme of Women’s History Month this year is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” – a recognition of the countless ways women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history. We are honored to host this special Women’s History Month conversation with Dr. Perry and hope you are able to join us. Don’t forget to click here to RSVP. In solidarity, Your friends at the Civil Rights Memorial Center and the SPLC
