Save the date for our webinar happening on March 22! No images? Click here Hi John, I wanted to make sure that you saw our invite to join our webinar on Tuesday, March 22nd, that we are presenting with our friends from the Tax Policy Center and the Partnership for America’s Children about new ways that we are using geographic data to identify and reach the populations that are most at risk of missing out on the CTC and the most in need of the life sustaining dollars the CTC represents. Please join us for this exciting opportunity made possible through the generous support of The Rockefeller Foundation! Mapping the Road Toward Increased Accessibility to the Child Tax CreditTuesday, March 22 at 2 pm EST Last year’s expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) and Economic Impact Payments provided critical income boosts for low to moderate-income workers and families. While advance CTC payments helped lift millions of children out of poverty, there are still tens of millions of households that do not file taxes due to a host of barriers causing them to miss out on these payments. One of the challenges faced by many Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs and other free tax prep providers has been locating and serving tax filers from hardest to reach populations, such as low-income youth, formerly incarcerated individuals, people experiencing homelessness, immigrants, survivors of domestic violence, and isolated tribal populations. With generous support from The Rockefeller Foundation, we are excited to invite you to a live discussion about how (and where!) we reach these populations. Join us for a webinar on March 22 at 2 p.m. ET, where we’ll hear from the Tax Policy Center and Prosperity Now to examine geographic data on where eligible families are most at risk for missing out on the CTC. We’ll also be joined by Partnership for America’s Children to share findings from recent CTC-related focus groups and messaging and outreach strategies to increase CTC awareness, access and understanding. We hope to see you there! |
