Thanks to Frank, the federal government is investing $45 million in Northwest Indiana infrastructure and economic development projects.

With Frank providing a key vote on the appropriations bill to keep the federal government open through September, he secured funding for these investment projects:

$18.4 million to expand the capacity of facilities that control and prevent contaminated materials from releasing into the Indiana Harbor
$10 million for general water and sewer infrastructure improvements in Lake and Porter counties
$8.2 million for operations and maintenance at Indiana Harbor
$2.7 million towards wider beaches to prevent coastal damages from rising sea levels
$2 million for snowplows and firefighting equipment at the Gary/Chicago International Airport
