Hello! This morning, I stepped outside and inhaled a gulp of warmer air. Ahhh! In that moment, I was struck by the strange juxtaposition in our lives—uplifting moments like this, as spring literally springs to life, countered by great challenges and suffering. In Ukraine, the loss of human lives, homes, safety, and comfort over the last three weeks is real and stark. And in factory farms all around the world, you and I are well aware of the preventable abuse of billions of animals raised for food—abuse we are working, together, to end.
Change, it seems, is the bridge between these two realities—the joys and the sorrows, the love and the loss. And it's what is giving me hope and cause to celebrate right now. Each small step we've taken is leading to big change—in the direction of the world we want to be a part of. Together, we're building a more compassionate world. I hope you can take a moment to pause and celebrate that, too—change by change.
