Another bill putting more money back in the taxpayers’ pockets

<[link removed]>

John,

In 2022, Governor Holcomb is working hard to give Hoosiers the leadership they
deserve.

After signing the automatic tax refund, Governor Holcomb also just signed
another huge tax bill, HEA 1002, which changes a number of things about the
system.

Most importantly, the bill is lowering your gross income tax rate. Here is a
brief breakdown of the bill:

* Reduces the individual income tax rate from 3.23% to 2.9% over a period of
seven years.
* Eliminates the Utility Receipts Tax and Utility Services Tax currently paid
on electricity, natural gas, water, steam, sewage and telephone bills, helping
to lower Hoosiers’ utility costs.
* Makes a one-time $2.5 billion payment toward the pre-1996 teacher pension
obligations, setting the state up for additional tax cuts in the future.
John, this is just another pro-Hoosier bill that will put more money in the
hands of the taxpayer. We will continue to update you on the Governor’s work
throughout March.

Eric really appreciates your support!

Sincerely,
Holcomb Crew
